Dr. Emilio Jose Castrillon
Dr Emilio J. Castrillon was a runner since the age 14, become national champion in his born country in the event of 3000 meters steeplechase and state champion in the USA. He was a professional runner for 5K, 10K and half marathon races.
While a college student Dr. Castrillon complete his undergrad and graduated studies at Turabo University in Puerto Rico, earning a bachelor’s in computers sciences and a master’s degree in quality.
Dr Castrillon due to the physical stress put into his spine for athletic training he injured himself at age 23, having a diagnosis of degenerative disc disease on the intervertebral disc at level Lumbar 5. He got paralyzed and with radicular pain traveling down his back, seeking treatment with physical therapists, massage therapist, orthopedist and finally a chiropractor, the last one was the only one to provide relief and allowing him to recover and being capable of going back to running road races on a professional level.
Dr. Castrillon was enlightened by the incredible benefits of spinal adjustments and then he moves to Sherman College of Chiropractic to pursuit his dream of provide hope to the hopeless.
Dr. Castrillon has been acknowledged as a master technician with many of the most widely used adjusting techniques such as Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson, Activator, Toggle, Flexion Distraction, and Extremity adjusting. He also has extensive training in pediatrics and nutrition, along with certifications in Gonstead technique.
Dr. Castrillon has experience in providing specialized and personalized care for patients suffering from all over the spine in the cervical, thoracic, lumbar, pelvis and extremities pain (Shoulders, elbows, wrist, hip, knees, and feet problems.)
Dr. Castrillon has experience beyond his years in providing specialized care for patients suffering from both cervical and lumbar disc herniations, as well as spinal stenosis, neuropathy and degenerative changes to the disc and vertebra.
Dr. Castrillon is nationally certified in non-surgical spinal decompression. This unique certification program has been approved by Parker University & by the International Medical Advisory Board for spinal decompression and is the first decompression program of its kind to be offered in America.
His practice is very specific, providing corrective spinal care that deliver results has been so incredibly accepted that now is providing services in 2 locations (Wesley Chapel and Brandon)
Dr. Castrillon is originally from Colombia, South America. He has 3 kids and loves practicing and living in Wesley Chapel – South Tampa, Florida.
